In a Digital Age, Students Still Cling to Paper Textbooks

Research has shown that although new technology has been created to digitally allow students access to textbooks, students still prefer paper textbooks to digital versions.


After reading this article, it makes me wonder if digital textbooks will ever be the number one choice of students.

I believe that the initiative to provide digital textbooks is responsible, because it prevents a lot of waste, which is bad for the environment.  However, it also makes me wonder why so many people still prefer paper textbooks.  If the trend is never going to catch on, are we wasting our time and efforts researching and creating products such as digital textbooks?
